SCRANTON, PA â Steamtown National Historic Site, downtown Scranton, Pennsylvania, announced today that tickets for the special excursion to Tunkhannock Viaduct, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2009, are no longer available as the train completely âsold outâ in a two-day period! The excursion date coincides with the Borough of Nicholsonâs âBridge Dayâ celebration which takes place the following day, Sunday, September 13, from 9:00 a.m. â 4:00 p.m., commemorating the 94th anniversary of the viaduct. While this special excursion is âsold out,â tickets are still available for remaining 2009 excursions to Moscow and Tobyhanna, as well as for a special excursion to East Stroudsburg on October 17. Additionally, âRailfest 2009,â which will take place on Labor Day weekend, will feature excursions to Moscow that will include âphoto-runbysâ during each trip! Excursion tickets must be pre-paid and are non-refundable unless an excursion is cancelled by management.
