New Agreement Signed With EPA Continuing Groundwork USA

National Park News

The National Park Service signed a new interagency agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency on July 10th to extend its partnership supporting Groundwork USA.

The latest agreement transfers $400,000 to help broaden the network to two more communities and continues to support the growing network of brownfield community-based conservation organizations.

Currently, there are 16 Groundwork organizations operating across the country. Groundwork USA also recently signed a new cooperative agreement with the NPS (see NPS WASO Youth Programs page) and is eligible to use its youth Green Teams to work on Economic Recovery Act Projects.

To learn more about the Groundwork USA Network, this agreement, and Green Teams,  visit the NPS Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program's page about the partnership by clicking "more information."
