Quicktime Implementation Completed

National Park News

It is with great pleasure that we announce the National Park Service has fully implemented the National Business Center’s Quicktime time and attendance (T&A) system. Full implementation means that all regions of the NPS are using Quicktime.

Quicktime is a web-enabled T&A entry system that provides electronic entry and approval of time and attendance, leave requests, and extra hours requests. The system replaces the Federal Personnel Payroll System (FPPS) time and attendance entry system.

Since April 2008, the NPS has been implementing the Quicktime T&A system in phases with the help of regional coordinators. The 15-month implementation plan was completed on schedule.

“We are seeing it as a great success here,” said Edie Ramey, chief of the Information Management Division at DSC. “Our supervisors have jumped in and are using several of the tools to look at leave balances, approve leave, etc.”

Thanks to the patience, dedication, and hard work of NPS employees, we have reached this milestone and we will continue to pursue efforts in automation that will allow for efficiency across the NPS.
