NPS Issues James Creek Prospectus

The National Park Service (NPS) has issued a prospectus soliciting proposals for a ten year contract for marina services within National Capital Parks-East on May 26, 2009. The prospectus explains the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51 has determined that the existing concessioner, Guest Services, Inc., is not a preferred offeror for this contract.

Any offer, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Business Services Program Manager, NPS, National Capital Region Office of Business Services Room 236 1100 Ohio Drive, S.W. Washington, DC 20242 no later than one hundred twenty two days (122) after the release of the prospectus in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide these services within National Capital Parks-East. The prospectus was issued on May 26, 2009, for a 122-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due at the National Capital Region Office of Business Services Room 236 1100 Ohio Drive, S.W. Washington, DC 20242 by September 25, 2009 no later than 4:00 p.m.

A site tour or access within the concession operation is scheduled for June 29, 2009 at 1:00PM.
