Police Week 2009 will be held from May 10th through May 16th this year. During this time period, the National Park Service will honor the memory of its law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, including U.S. Park Police officers, park rangers, and a special agent whose names are etched in granite at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation and the Concerns of Police Survivors organizations schedule many large scale activities during this special week in May.
