Follow-up on Probable Suicide

Grand Canyon, AZ. – A man found deceased in his residence within Grand Canyon National Park on Monday has been identified as Richard Dennis Schultz.

On Monday, March 16, 2009, the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report that a male subject had been found deceased in a residence within the park. Upon arriving at the residence, rangers confirmed the death and began an investigation into the incident. The cause of death was determined to be suicide by the Coconino County Medical Examiner.

Schultz, a Grand Canyon resident, was 60 years old.
