National Park Week Dates Set

National Park Week 2009 will take place from April 18th to April 26th this year, with Junior Ranger Day on April 25th. In recognition of the 170,000 annual volunteers who assist the National Park Service, the theme is community service.

This year, talented volunteers from every age and background will donate more than five million hours of time to assist NPS efforts to inspire visitors and protect park resources.

Join other parks across the country by planning activities that pay tribute to volunteers and celebrate National Park Week and Junior Ranger Day.
