Nominations Due For Climate Change Committee

Climate change will have critical impacts to park resources, operations and visitor experience. The National Park Service can and must respond.  To promote a comprehensive response, the NPS is creating a climate change response steering committee. 

The purpose of the steering committee is to foster communication, provide guidance, serve as an advisory body to the National Leadership Council and promote best practices in resource protection and sustainability.

Nominations for this working committee are being solicited. They must be forwarded through your appropriate supervisor, regional, or directorate office to Leigh Welling at leigh_welling@nps.gov. Nominations are due today – Friday, December 19th.
