Body Found At High Bluffs Overlook

On the afternoon of December 7th, a park visitor contacted ranger Paul Tibbetts and reported that he’d found a body while hiking in the High Bluffs overlook area. Tibbetts found the body of a 37-year-old man with an obvious fatal gunshot wound to his head, evidently self-inflicted. The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department and the coroner responded are leading the investigation.
