New Public Laws/Proclamations
On December 2nd, the President signed into law S. 1193, a bill to direct the Secretary of the Interior to take into trust two parcels of Federal land for the benefit of certain Indian Pueblos in the State of New Mexico, and for other purposes. The Park Service is interested in Title III, which extends the authorization to build the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial through November 12, 2009. It is Public Law 110-453.
On December 5th, the President signed a proclamation designating the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument and the Presidential Proclamation in Honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 2008.
