One Killed, One Injured In Single-Vehicle Accident

The park received a report of a serious accident near milepost 259 around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, November 20th. Jessica Finney, 28, of Belden, Mississippi, who was evidently the driver of a 1995 Toyota Avalon headed north on the parkway, was killed in the accident and her passenger, Bradley Brown, 33, of Pontotoc, Mississippi, was injured. He was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo for treatment, then released. Finney apparently lost control of the Toyota, which crossed over the southbound lane and struck bridge railings.
