Deputy Director Lindi Harvey attended the kickoff event for this past Saturday’s National Train Day, held at Union Station in Washington.
The largest National Park Service presence in this national event was at Union Station, with park rangers and volunteers from the Service’s Trails & Rails Program as well as rangers from Greater Washington National Parks.
There was also a special National Park Service booth for children that included the world premiere launch and demonstration of ‘Railroad Connections’ on WebRangers, a program supported by the Best Buy Children’s Foundation through the National Park Foundation.
