Commemorations To Be Held At Lady Bird Johnson Park

George Washington Memorial Parkway, site of Lady Bird Johnson Park, will honor Mrs. Johnson in several ways over the next few days.

The park will have a ranger at Lady Bird Johnson Park at Columbia Island from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. through Sunday. They will also have a staffed tent at the same location, open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with remembrance books in which visitors can share their thoughts about her and her legacy, a binder with photos from various times in her life, and a wildflower arrangement.

At 1 p.m. on Sunday, the park will host a special moment of remembrance during her internment. Details on this event are still being worked out.
