In late May, Scotts Bluff hosted two rangers from New Zealand's Department of Conservation (equivalent to the NPS). Meirene Hardy-Birch works in a central office in public affairs and community relations; Myles Taylor is a ranger interested in resource management issues. Activities during the two-day visit included a meeting with local media representatives, a meeting with county tourism officials, participation in an network I&M strategy conference call, and field trips to Scotts Bluff and Agate Fossil Beds National Monuments.
