Secretary Makes National Park Week Visit

Secretary Kempthorne is hoisted into the air by fifth graders from Goldridge Elementary School (Folsom, California) aboard the 1886 ship Balclutha at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The students participated in a park program in which they stayed on the ship overnight to learn what life was like on a ship in 1886.  Kempthorne visited the park last week as part of National Park Week.  During his visit, he promoted the National Park Centennial Initiative.
