On February 2nd, Superintendent Patrick Reed and his staff welcomed 16 representatives from Guizhou and Yunnan provinces of the Peoples Republic of China. Some were professors, some national park managers, and some government officials. They were all interested in the karst region of central Kentucky and the longest cave in the world.
The group discussed park management, karst issues, the park’s World Heritage Site designation, staffing, park planning, and concessions operations.
