On Sunday, December 17th, the 103rd anniversary of the Wright brothers' first powered flight, Dayton Aviation Heritage NHP premiered its new film, On Great White Wings. Local media, friends of the park, partners, and the film's cast and crew were invited to view this 32-minute movie, filmed in Dayton, Huffman Prairie Flying Field, and Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
"This movie is at the cutting edge of technology with high-definition resolution, Surround Sound, and computer-enhanced graphics," said superintendent Larry Blake.
Narrated by Martin Sheen, a native of Ohio, the movie is a production of Aperture Films, Ltd., and includes an original score.
A "must-see" for anyone visiting the park, the new movie is shown at the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center at 16 South Williams Street and at the Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center at 2380 Memorial Road.
