Kathy Smith, Administrative Officer at Hot Springs National Park, has announced her retirement. She will retire on November 3, 2006, after 30 years of service with the National Park Service.
Kathy started her career at Buffalo National River in March 1976. Her career has taken her to Ft. Smith National Historic Site, Grand Portage National Monument, Cumberland Gap National Historic Park and then to Hot Springs National Park where she will retire to a life of being “Ninny” to 3 grandsons, shopping the flea markets and antique shops.
