Devils Tower National Monument will host the Bearlodge Writers’ Publication Party on July 9th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Devils Tower picnic shelter. The writers will share excerpts from their newly published anthology, In the Shadow of the Bear Lodge. The cover of the book showcases artwork by renowned Sundance artist Sarah Rogers.
In the Shadow of the Bear Lodge features fiction and non-fiction, essays, narratives, stories and poetry. The book will be available for sale during the publication party and is also available at the Devils Tower Visitor Center bookstore.
The Bearlodge Writers have been meeting since 1979. Their membership includes writers from the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming. Their purpose is to enjoy each other’s fellowship, to encourage one another in writing endeavors, to help each other improve their work, and to share information and tips. They have had poetry, essays, short stories, fiction and nonfiction published in many different markets.
