Update: The National Park Service Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Rehabilitation of David Walker Farmstead

You are invited to a public open house to review and comment on the alternatives for rehabilitating 1610 and 1630 Thomas Road, in Tredyffrin Township. Two identical open houses are scheduled for the convenience of the public. They will take place in the barn at 1630 Thomas Road on August 22, at 2:00 PM and at 6:30 PM. Each will last for two hours.

Documents for Your Review. A copy of the Environmental Assessment/Assessment of Effects document outlining the alternatives for rehabilitation and analyzing their impacts will be available beginning August 1. The 100-page document will be available to you in one of the following ways:

1) Electronic copy at http://planning.nps.gov/plans.cfm; or

2) Printed copies located at the Valley Forge NHP Welcome Center and the Tredyffrin Public Library, 582 Upper Gulph Road, Strafford; or

The public comment period extends from August 1 through August 29. You do not have to attend the public meeting in order to make comments. You may provide electronic comments at http://planning.nps.gov/plans.cfm, or written comments to:
