(Corpus Christi, Texas)-Padre Island National Seashore’s Malaquite Beach Visitor Center will begin summer operating hours. The Visitor Center will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The extended hours will be in effect through Monday, September 4, 2006. The following programs will be provided throughout the summer:
Beach Walks-Daily at 11:00 a.m.
Deck Talks-Daily at 1:00 p.m.
History Program-Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
Junior Ranger Program-Daily, upon request
Family Program-Daily at 3:00 p.m.
Star Party-June 24, July 1, 22, 29, August 19, and 26 at 8:00 p.m.
