Visitors are reminded that due to the extremely dry conditions, the following fire restrictions are in effect until further notice at Chiricahua National Monument:
Candles and wood fires are prohibited within all areas of Chiricahua National Monument.
Propane or gas stoves are permitted at the Bonita Creek & Faraway Picnic areas, and Bonita Canyon Campground.
Charcoal may be used only in the Bonita Canyon Campground grills by people camping. Day-use picnicking is not permitted at the campground.
Smoking is permitted only in closed vehicles. Dispose of butts in your ashtray.
Fireworks of any kind are never permitted within Chiricahua National Monument.
