Park rangers at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial will be offering scheduled interpretive talks and tours at the Memorial visitor center daily at 10:00am and 2:00pm beginning Sunday, June 4. The programs will include orientation talks, guided tours, and special audio-visual presentations.
In addition to these programs, guest demonstrators will be presenting programs on such topics as blacksmithing and weaving at the Lincoln Living Historical Farm. There will also be the usual ongoing activities conducted by the park staff on a daily basis throughout the summer.
An added feature during the month of June is a special traveling exhibition entitled “Looking at Lincoln: Political Cartoons from the Civil War Era.” The exhibition was developed by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and features materials from the Gilder Lehrman Collection. It is on loan to the park and can be viewed in the museum at the Memorial Visitor Center from 8:00am to 5:00pm seven days a week.
Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial is located off of Indiana Highway 162 in Lincoln City, Indiana. Admission to the park, which includes the Lincoln Living Historical Farm, is $3.00 per person, age 17 and older, with a maximum charge of $5.00 per family. The receipt for admission is good for a period of seven days from the date of purchase. There is no charge for visitors who present a National Park Pass, Golden Eagle Passport, Golden Age Passport, Golden Access Passport, or an Annual Lincoln Boyhood Park Pass.
