Enjoy a day of family fun focused on river safety, recreational use, and conservation during the fifth annual Potomac River Family Festival on Saturday, June 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brunswick Family Campground. Highlights of the event include a river race; crafters, fly-fishing and tying; river safety and water dog demonstrations; a fishing pond; and insect lectures with a display. The City of Brunswick is accepting registration forms and fees for participants who wish to enter the river race from now until 1 p.m. on the day of the event.
Potomac River Family Festival is sponsored by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, City of Brunswick, Potomac Conservancy, River and Trail Outfitters, Maryland Department of the Environment, Frederick County, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and U.S. Power Squadrons, Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park, and the National Park Service.
