National Park Week is an annual Presidentially proclaimed week for celebration and recognition of your National Parks.
Your National Parks are living examples of the best this Nation has to offer - our magnificent natural landscapes and our varied yet interrelated heritage. Parks can provide recreational experiences, opportunities to learn and grow, and places of quiet refuge.
The park will be holding an ongoing contest April 22-30. Stop by the Visitor Center and try to guess the different National Park sites depicted on a poster in the lobby. Small prizes will be awarded to the winners. Visit with one of the rangers at the park for more details.
The visitor center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Visitors to the park may watch a 15-minute orientation film, see the reconstructed, fully furnished earthlodge, the museum and walk the trail to the village sites. The park is located ? mile north of Stanton on County Road 37.
For additional information, please contact the park at (701) 745-3300.
