Fort Donelson National Battlefield Celebrates National Park Week 2006

Dover, Tennessee?During April 2006, students and families alike will get a chance to experience life as it was for Civil War soldiers. This year?s theme is Connecting Our Children to America?s National Parks.

Families can have some fun while learning a little battlefield history on April 28-30, 2006. Special programs on topics such as bald eagles, Civil War artillery, and soldier life will be conducted Saturday 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Sunday at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at various locations on the battlefield. Programs are free and open to the public.
