Saturday, April 1 Odd Ecru-Colored Jazz Band 2:00-3:30 p.m. Taking the band?s name from the lyrics of an obscure early jazz recording, Jim and Martha Hession lead this quartet through a rousing traditional jazz performance.
Tuesdays, April 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th Roots of Jazz Series 3:00 ? 4:00 p.m. Park rangers Matt Hampsey and Bruce Barnes perform and discuss various elements crucial to the development of jazz in New Orleans.
Wednesday, April 5 John Royen 12:00-1:00 p.m. Pianist John Royen takes you on a musical journey from ragtime to jazz.
Thursdays, April 6th, 20th, 27th Roots of Jazz Series 3:00-4:00 p.m. The musical rangers, Bruce Barnes and Matt Hampsey provide a lively ?informance?.
Friday, April 7 Lars Edegran Presents ?Uncle? Lionel Batiste 2:00-3:30 p.m. Bass drummer, vocalist, and kazooist, ?Uncle? Lionel Batiste is a New Orleans legend and mentor to many Treme musicians. Hear ?Uncle? as the featured vocalist in a traditional jazz band led by Lars Edegran.
Saturday, April 8 Loyola University School of Music Graduate Recitals 11:00-2:00 p.m. In partnership with Loyola University?s Jazz Studies Program, the park is pleased to announce these fine performances by three talented young jazz guitarists. Thursday, April 13 Maryland Jazz Band featuring Big Al Carson 2:00-3:30 p.m. One of the top New Orleans Jazz acts in all of Germany, the Maryland Jazz Band will feature guest vocalist Big Al Carson in a sizzling program of traditional jazz.
Friday, April 14 Les Muscutt Jazz All-stars 12:00-1:30 p.m. Banjoist Les Muscutt is a regular performer with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band while also recording with New Orleans artists like Louis Cottrell and Wendell Eugene. Join Les for a traditional jazz set with a spotlight on the banjo.

Andrew Hall?s Society Brass Band 2:00 ? 3:30 p.m. This 11 piece brass band keeps close to the early brass band traditions in New Orleans. The concert will feature a special tribute to the groups? trombonist, Wendell Eugene.

Take Pride In America Volunteer Awareness Jazz Dance 6:00 ? 7:30 p.m. Join us for a jazz dance featuring surprise musical guests as we honor Bob and Joy Foy who have logged over 8000 volunteer hours to the mission of the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park and other community events.

Thursday, April 27 African Roots of Jazz 3:00 ? 4:00 Park rangers Bruce Barnes and Matt Hampsey explore the connections between New Orleans, its music, and traditions of West Africa.
These activities are free and open to the public and will take place in the park?s Visitor Center at 916 N. Peters Street, unless specified.
