Beginning Saturday, April 1, 2006, the Manzanar National Historic Site Interpretive Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. The Interpretive Center features 8,000 square feet of exhibits and an award-winning introductory film, as well as a bookstore operated by the non-profit Manzanar History Association. Admission is free.
In addition to the exhibits and film, visitors and school groups may join a park ranger for a guided walk or talk to learn more about the site and its many stories. Public program schedules are posted regularly on Manzanar National Historic Site?s web site at www.nps.gov/manz. In addition, a self-guided auto tour is available any time during daylight hours.
