The Allegheny Portage Railroad is hosting ?Coal Mining Days? as part of the ?One Book One Community? program. Pat Hughes author of ?The Breaker Boys? will be present to sign books and speak about her wonderful coal mining story. Park rangers will be in historic costume giving demonstrations of log hewing, stone cutting and other mining techniques. Schools are invited to come and participate.
