The National Park Service is pleased to announce that we will continue to operate the popular Morrow Point Boat Tours into the Black Canyon in 2006. These tours feature a National Park Service Ranger or volunteer sharing the natural and cultural history of the canyon as the 42-passenger pontoon boat travels 7 miles into the majestic Black Canyon along Morrow Point Reservoir.
The boat tours will be offered from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, daily except Tuesdays, at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Reservations are required and will be accepted for the 2006 season as of May 1. Reservations may be made by calling the Elk Creek Visitor Center at 970-641-2337 x 205 or stopping by the Visitor Center in person.
Due to rising costs, prices for 2006 have increased slightly over 2005, and are now: $15 for adults; $7.50 for all children under age 13; $7.50 for those who possess a Golden Age or Golden Access card.
