National Park News

Fort Scott National Historic Site will be closed Sunday, December 25, 2005 for the Christmas holiday and Sunday, January 1, 2006 in observance of New Year?s Day. Visitors may enjoy the fort grounds during daylight hours, but the buildings and visitor center will not be open.
The site will be fully operational throughout the remainder of the holiday season from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Throughout the month of December, the site?s bookstore will feature discounts on several gift books and book sets for those history buffs on your gift list.
