Catherine Clinton, Ph.D. Presents: Harriet Tubman: The Road to Freedom January 15, 2006
Catherine Clinton graduated from Harvard University with a joint degree in Sociology and Afro-American Studies. She received her MA degree in American Studies from the University of Sussex and her Ph.D. in history at Princeton University. Doctor Clinton has taught as a visiting professor at several colleges and universities. Clinton has written, edited, co-authored or co-edited over a dozen books to date. Most recent she completed a biographical study of Harriet Tubman and is working on a new biography of Mary Todd Lincoln.
This program is part of a larger program which begins at 2 PM, with a commemoration for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A reception and book signing will be included in the schedule of events. All will take place at the Lincoln Museum Community Room on the square in Hodgenville, KY.
In February 2008 the kick-off event for the two year commemoration of Abraham Lincoln?s birth, 2008 ? 2010, will begin with a signature event in Hodgenville, KY.
