President Lights National Christmas Tree

On the evening of Thursday, December 1st, President George W. Bush pushed the switch that illuminated the National Christmas Tree and kicked off the annual Pageant of Peace. The tree is located on the Ellipse in President?s Park, and the Pageant of Peace events are held on park grounds.
