The Historic Moorehead Cottage received its witchs hat on Wednesday November 17, after much stabilization work. The Victorian cottage of the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club is being repaired and stabilized by the National Park Service. The funding for the project was provided by a "Save America's Treasures Grant". Sarah Polzin Exhibit Specialist is heading up a team of preservationists from Frederick Maryland. This team has been working on both the Moorehead Cottage and the Clubhouse of the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club. The buildings are being repaired for the enjoyment of future generations. The work is just part of an on-going construction and stabilization effort by the National Park Service.
