Fort Scott NHS Announces Winter Hours

Beginning November 1st Fort Scott National Historic Site will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. These hours will remain in effect until March 31, 2006. The park is open daily except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Until December 31, 2005, admission is $3.00 for adults (age 17 and over). Children (age 16 and under) enter free. Beginning January 1, 2006, 16 year olds will pay the adult admission of $3.00.
Annual passes are available for frequent visitors. The $15.00 pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase and covers all members of the holder's immediate family. Eighty percent of the entrance fees collected will remain in the park to fund site maintenance and activities. For additional information call 620-223-0310.
