A 37 year-old climber was rescued from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park today. After a 60-ft climbing fall yesterday, rescue crews were able to reach the victim overnight. The climber asked to not be identified until emergency contacts are notified. A commercial helicopter was able to airlift the patient to the Montrose Community hospital at 2 pm on Sunday. The patient is listed in stable condition with a possible pelvic and femur fracture.
