The Albright-Wirth Grant program is seeking interested employees to serve as 2014 Albright-Wirth Grant panel peer and/or management reviewers. Reviewers will assist in the review, rating, and selection of 2014 Albright-Wirth grant applications/awards.
The program is a developmental opportunity that annually awards funding for personal and career development projects to National Park Service employees. The AWGP is funded by the National Park Foundation, and administered by the NPS, WASO Office of Learning and Development.
All reviewers must commit to the dates, time frame and requirements which are established below.
Have a minimum of five years of NPS experience
Be a GS-11 or higher or the equivalent pay grade for the managers panel
Not have an application request pending review for an FY 2014 Albright-Wirth Grant
Have high standards of personal ethics
Have access to an NPS government computer
Have their supervisor’s approval
Reviewers must be able to:
Review up to 20 to 25 electronic AWG applications
Provide one sentence explanation for each of the three questions that the rating is based upon, and justification statements to support the rating score for each element
Commit approximately 20 minutes or less per application
Be available to begin the review after October 21st, with a target completion date of November 8th or sooner
Participate in a 30-minute reviewer instructional webinar (October 8th, 9th, or 15th).
Provide process review feedback at the end of the evaluation process in order to provide comments for program improvement
