This summer, Junior Rangers visiting Curecanti National Recreation Area and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park will be challenged by new activity booklets.
Park staff, with design and contracting assistance from Western National Parks Association and artist Jason King of Bozeman, Montana, created new activities and graphics to revamp these popular educational publications. Activities cover topics ranging from aquatic invasive species to wilderness and wildlife stewardship.
The printer, based in Denver, created poster-sized cover art for advertising the program in park visitor centers. Funding for this publication upgrade came through the interpretation and education fund source.
