National Park Service employees at Cuyahoga Valley National Park donated 510 pounds of food to the Cleveland Foodbank as a part of the FEDS Feeds Families program. The initiative was launched by Superintendent Stan Austin during the FEDS Feeds Families campaign (June 1 - August 29, 2012) with fellow park employees at an all-hands summer meeting on Thursday, August 2, 2012. "It is very important to allow our employees the opportunity to give to those who have less and are struggling with securing basic needs. We were very pleased with the response from our entire staff! Some of employees were so inspired that we are having a volunteer day at the foodbank on Saturday, October 20," said Superintendent Austin. Cuyahoga Valley National Park will participate in the FEDS Feeds Families in 2013.
