“Lifeways of the Northern Plains” will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site.
Christopher Floyd will present “Warriors on the Northern Plains” at 2:00 p.m. MDT. He will talk about the lifestyle of the warrior on the Plains. After the presentation, you can join Christopher at his tipi until 4:00 p.m. where he will have replica items in keeping with the era and demonstrate their uses.
The program is free and will be held on Mountain Daylight Time. The visitor center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Visitors to the park may watch a 15-minute orientation film, see the reconstructed, fully furnished earthlodge, the museum and walk the trail to the village sites. The park is located ½ mile north of Stanton on County Road 37.
