A great time to learn about Dayton, Ohio is during Urban Nights. The free event took place on September 16, 2011 and showcased downtown's eclectic restaurants, nightlife, art, music, retail, and urban living options. Described as a huge street party and open house for downtown, the event had something for everyone to enjoy.
During the event there were many interactive hotspots to visit including Dayton Aviation Heritage NHP where visitors could learn about the park, the adjacent Wright-Dunbar neighborhood and the Wright brothers and Paul Laurence Dunbar. They could also take part in activities that included NPS arrowhead artwork and programs about urban wildlife and aviation history. During the night the park hosted 2026 visitors.
Free trolleys provided by the Greater Dayton RTA helped visitors reach venues throughout the city.
Urban Nights takes place twice a year - once in the spring and once in the fall.
