On Wednesday, May 25th, the United States Park Police San Francisco Field Office held its fourth annual Presidio of San Francisco child fingerprint event.
This year’s event was hosted at the Walt Disney Family Museum on the Presidio of San Francisco and sponsored by the Park Police, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Ninety volunteers from ten federal agencies and three private companies helped run the event.
This annually anticipated community outreach event drew 230 children. Each participant was fingerprinted, photographed and issued identification cards in an effort to help protect and quickly locate them in the event they become lost, abducted or need to be identified for other reasons.
USPP sergeant David Williams and officer Raquel Lopez-Milano were instrumental in organizing and managing this significant community event.
