Suicide At Intersection In Park

A visitor came upon a man slumped over in a parked car near the intersection of Old Highway 41 and Ridenour Road on the morning of Sunday, August 21st. When the visitor checked, he found that there was blood on the man and a handgun on his lap. Cobb County officers were first on scene and determined that the man was dead. He was subsequently identified as an 84-year-old resident of Marietta, Georgia. He had no known illness, but his family reported that he was depressed and tired of living. Rangers and Cobb County officers are investigating.
