Sagamore Hill, National Historic Site, home of Theodore Roosevelt, 26th US President, announces the change in schedule of operations from its summer seven-day operation to the off-season five-day operation, which will occur following Labor Day.
Beginning Tuesday, September 6, the site will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays and be open to the public Wednesday through Sunday. The following schedule of operations will be will be maintained:
The grounds of Sagamore Hill are open to the public year round every day from dawn to dusk without charge.
Tours of the Theodore Roosevelt Home are offered on the hour from 10 to 4 at a cost of $5 for adults, those 16 and under are free. Tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis for each day beginning at 9 AM. Each tour is limited to fourteen persons and advance reservations are not taken. The Visitor Center and Gift Shop are open from 9 to 4:50 where one may purchase tour tickets and retail items. The Theodore Roosevelt Museum in the Old Orchard Building is open from 10 to 4 and there is no charge to see it.
The Sunday Morning Nature Walks will continue, weather permitting, through September and October. (Meet at the Visitor Center at 9:30; no reservations are required and there is no charge.)
This schedule noted above continues through the fall and winter until Memorial Day weekend when the seven-day schedule is adopted.
