Details The Superintendent of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park announced today a change in the visitor transportation on weekends at the Park. Beginning Saturday, June 5, 2004, a fee will be charged for the six-minute ride to the top of the mountain. The fees are $2 for adults, $1 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Visitors can purchase a pass at the Visitor Center information desk. The daily pass will allow visitors a round-trip ride.
The bus runs on the hour and half-hour from 9:30am until 5:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays. The mountain road is open to normal traffic Monday through Friday [excluding major holidays] from 8:00am-5:30pm.
