Tamarisk in Boquillas Canyon
Park visitors rest under a tamarisk or salt cedar (Tamarix ramosissima) near a sand dune and small cave in Boquillas Canyon. Tamarisk is an invasive species that has spread throughout river systems of the Desert Southwest.
