Streams cause a wide variety of rock-based landforms: ridges; plateaus; mesas/buttes, canyons, etc. One of the most unusual is the so-called natural bridge, made by stream undercutting and penetration through a rock unit. One of the most famous in the western U.S. is the Rainbow Bridge in the Glen Canyon National Park.
