Aerial view northward of Mount Griggs with active fumaroles just below summit crater. Flanks are covered with light-colored ash-fall deposits from the 1912 eruption of Novarupta. Knife Creek cuts through the 1912 ash-flow sheet at the foot of Mount Griggs (flowing down valley, right to left).
