East side of fumarolically active, 500-meter-tall Mount Martin summit cone, built mostly by accumulation of bombs, ash, and scoria, on top of massive lava flows that flowed generally northwestward. Low rim of summit crater is open to the southeast. Plume is sulfur-rich enough to induce headaches in close observers.
